On Friday, February 5th JFA staff observed the American Heart Association’s annual “Wear Red Day”, a day to raise awareness around the issue of women’s heart disease.
As proud supporters of our community, JFA matched staff contributions, and together we raised $2,855 to support lifesaving research, education and health impact initiatives for all women. Our staff also dressed in red for a few socially distanced team photos celebrating “Wear Red Day”.
Cardiovascular diseases are among the greatest health threats to women, and 80% of cardiac events can be prevented. “Wear Red Day” has grown beyond an awareness-raising event into a movement that brings men and women together in support of this universal health issue, emphasizing the need for women to take charge of their heart health.
JFA is proud to support the AHA, their lifesaving mission, and the cardiovascular health of the women in our lives.
