Empire BlueCross in partnership with the Albany Business Review developed the Whole Health Hero award to identify and celebrate those who have shown a remarkable commitment to safety and wellness, and those making a difference during the pandemic.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, our JFA team continued to operate fully and safely with most staff members working from home, and a select few working onsite. Changes were made to the offices to keep our small crew of onsite essential employees safe. Some of these changes included nano septic panels on doors and other surfaces, ample bottles of hand sanitizer, masks for staff, cleaning and disinfecting supplies, socially distanced workspaces, and more.
For our clients, we knew that the safest approach would be to take our meetings and services online. We hosted virtual meetings, conducted our annual client conference via Zoom, and offered online benefits enrollment for our client groups so they could feel safer enrolling in their healthcare benefits.
JFA partnered with Capital EAP to offer free webinars to employers and their employees. Our team was prepared to answer benefits questions related to COVID-19 and continuously updated clients as information was released. In addition to information about COVID-19 and legislative updates, JFA also provided information about virtual offerings to improve and maintain wellbeing including fitness, mindfulness, and mental health resources. Finally, JFA has continued to support community non-profit organizations that help keep our entire community safe and healthy.
