Rescheduled – New Date!

JFA’s 17th annual “Grip It N’ Rip It” Golf Tournament to benefit CAPTAIN Community Human Services

Friday, August 21st at the Hiland Park Country Club in Queensbury

We have rescheduled our annual “Grip It N’ Rip It” Golf Tournament to later this summer (originally scheduled for June 12th).  The date is the only thing that has changed!  It will still be held at the Hiland Park Country Club in Queensbury and CAPTAIN Community Human Services is still our beneficiary.

2020 marks Jaeger & Flynn‘s 17th Annual “Grip It ‘N Rip It” charity golf tournament to support organizations that provide valuable resources and services to individuals and families in our local area. We are proud to announce that CAPTAIN Community Human Services will be the beneficiary of this year’s tournament.

About this years beneficiary:

CAPTAIN Community Human Services is a grassroots human service agency that supports and empowers people of all ages in Saratoga County, Warren County and beyond to reach their goals of personal growth and self-sufficiency.  For over 40 years, they have been providing programs that address the core issues facing our society today, including homelessness, poverty, youth violence, hunger, academic failure, family dysfunction, and human trafficking.

The funds raised from this year’s tournament are going to support CAPTAIN’s Street Outreach Program and most specifically their efforts to support youth who have been identified as high risk, or are confirmed survivors, of human trafficking.  It may be hard to believe that we have children being exploited right here in Saratoga County, but we do, and they have endured significant, compounding trauma and need supportive, holistic services to aid them in their healing.  We were saddened to hear that the grant money supporting this program was discontinued. It needs $150,000 to be sustained and the current projection is that they will be $50,000 short to maintain it.  In learning this, JFA is pleased to support this program so that the impacted youth can continue to get the services they need to heal.
