Jaeger & Flynn’s (JFA) 16th annual “Grip It ‘N Rip It” golf tournament, held on Friday, June 7th, at the Hiland Park Country Club in Queensbury, successfully raised $28,000 to be shared by AIM Services, Inc. and Shelters of Saratoga. 

More than 30 different companies from across the Capital Region helped Jaeger & Flynn in their sponsorship effort to assist two local agencies, AIM Services, Inc. and Shelters of Saratoga (SOS). Over 155 golfers from area companies played in the tournament that included an 18 hole round, various special events and fun surprises at numerous holes.

Each year, JFA’s “Grip It ‘N’ Rip It” tournament supports a different local charity that benefits our fellow Capital Region residents.  This year, these two programs were chosen in collaboration to support individuals of diverse abilities and people who are facing homelessness. Through the “Power of Partnership”, we can provide those in need with access to multiple services and a real chance to live with dignity and respect.  WE CAN DO MORE – TOGETHER.

With the support from all our Corporate Sponsors and golfers, AIM Services and SOS each received $14,000, which will help them continue to provide services and assistance to our community.  With this donation JFA’s total contribution increased to over $291,000 in 16 years.

AIM Services, Inc.

Since 1979 AIM Services, Inc. has supported people of diverse abilities to become independent, self-confident and vibrant members of their communities. Each individual seeking support is unique, and obtaining the appropriate services requires essential, yet costly, evaluative assessment tools. Each year, the cost of these assessments prevents hundreds of families from accomplishing their goals and dreams. Proceeds received from this event will support the cost of these necessary behavioral assessments, along with other items to improve the lives of these families and their loved ones.

Shelters of Saratoga (SOS)

Since 1991 Shelters of Saratoga has been assisting people who are experiencing homelessness by offering a path to self-sufficiency and helping these individuals get back on their feet. Their outreach efforts connect people to food, security, housing options and referral services, and complement the agency’s cold-weather shelter program, Code Blue. Proceeds received from this event will support the outreach efforts to more than 50 individuals who are chronically homeless in the Saratoga Springs region
